LIFE SERVICES CHRISTIAN MENTORING PROGRAM
Trainer: Mavis Bennett, Ph.D.

Life Services is happy to announce that our free Christian Mentoring Program
is being offered to local Christians interested in helping others to grow in relation to their closer walk with God.
Goal of the program:
To help another to excel in his/her Christian walk by demonstrating our Lord’s mercy and grace
(believing in another until they can believe in themselves)
We are looking for mature Christians who are interested in becoming Mentors and who are willing to use a Christ-centered approach to personal growth. Trained Mentors will initially be able to serve their local church families and may later choose advanced training to also serve the unique needs of Life Services’ clients.
Qualities needed:
Personal commitment of your life to the Lord Jesus Christ
and a willingness to love your neighbor as yourself
focusing on “the least of these”
While mentoring may seem like a “natural” connection, we want you to not overlook the value of training. Research indicates a short-lived, ill-planned relationship can actually have negative consequences. We offer three useful training sessions to prepare Mentors for this important role in increasing a Mentee’s skills, attitudes and Christian character.
The Schedule:
Please call for information.
We are also available to present an informal orientation session for interested Christian groups. If you have an interested and committed group of at least eight people, we will work to organize a cycle of classes just for your folks. Please call the office and discuss this option with Kathryn.
